Dr. Jagtap earned his Ph.D. in Marine Science from the School of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at Goa University, where he investigated polysaccharides and oligosaccharides from Indian seaweeds. He completed his M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University and his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Tuljaram Chaturchand College.
