Elijah Eferoghene Onojowho is a dedicated researcher and academic in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where his work focuses on innovative studies in energy systems and automotive engineering. With a strong foundation in both practical and theoretical aspects of engineering, Elijah has contributed significantly to research in alternative energy, combustion, and emissions.

๐Ÿ“š Education

Elijah holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he conducted groundbreaking research on combustion and emission studies using Khaya senegalensis seed biodiesel fuel blends. He also earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Delta State University, Abraka, where he designed and fabricated a mobile mini-crane. Currently, he is working towards a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Elijah has extensive experience in both teaching and research. He has served as an Assistant Lecturer at the Automotive Mechatronics Department of Ibikunle Lawal Institute of Innovative Studies and Technology Limited, where he taught courses in basic mechanics, modern brake systems, and electronic diesel engine maintenance. His research experience includes working as a Research Intern and Teaching Assistant at Obafemi Awolowo University, contributing to studies on sandbox seed oil-diesel fuel performance and the combustion characteristics of Nigerian bituminous coal. Elijah has also held various teaching positions across Nigeria, sharing his expertise in mathematics, physics, and engineering with students at different educational levels.

Elijah’s research interests encompass a wide range of topics within mechanical engineering, including energy and power systems, energy conversion, alternative energy, combustion and emissions, heat exchangers, waste heat recovery, and machinery technology. His work is driven by a passion for developing sustainable solutions in the energy and automotive sectors, with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

He received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Charity Community Development Service Group of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for his outstanding service.
