Asiya Maskaeva, PhD in Economics, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dodoma in Tanzania. Asiya Maskaeva completed her PhD in Economics at Penza State University of Architecture and Construction and Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management and Business in Russia (2002-2005), with a thesis on labour mobility in the region. She holds a Graduate Engineer degree in Civil Engineering from Penza State Academy of Architecture and Construction (1997-2002), where she graduated with a GPA of 4.9/5.0. Her education also includes specialized training in CGE and GVAR modelling from prestigious institutions such as the University of Florence, European Commission Joint Research Centre, and African Economic Research Consortium.

Asiya Maskaeva has over two decades of professional experience, including her current role as Senior Lecturer at the University of Dodoma since 2012. She has also served as a Research Fellow at the Partnership for Economic Policy and a consultant for various national and international bodies.
